Fiji’s Bula Boys Gear Up for Tri-Nations Series Without Key Captain

Digicel Fiji Bula Boys Captain Roy Krishna will not participate in the opening match of the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series 2024 against the Solomon Islands. Krishna is currently in India getting ready for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League with Odisha FC, but he will rejoin the team for their second match against Hong Kong-China in Lautoka.

Team manager Kartik Reddy noted that the team has entered the second week of their training camp under head coach Rob Sherman. He mentioned, “The boys are having two sessions daily focused on strengthening and conditioning in the morning while tactical and technical aspects in the afternoon.”

Fiji is set to face the Solomon Islands on Monday, September 2, at 7 pm at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Following that, the Solomon Islands will play against Hong Kong-China on Thursday, September 5, also at 7 pm at the same location. Fiji’s final game will be against Hong Kong-China on Sunday, September 8, at 3 pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka. Ticket prices are set at $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
