Fiji’s Bula Boys Gear Up for Tri-Nations Series Without Captain Krishna

Digicel Fiji Bula Boys Captain Roy Krishna will not participate in the opening match of the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series 2024 against the Solomon Islands. Krishna is currently in India preparing for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League with Odisha FC and is expected to join the team for their second match against Hong Kong-China in Lautoka.

Team manager Kartik Reddy stated that the squad has entered the second week of preparation under head coach Rob Sherman. “The boys are having two sessions daily focused on strengthening and conditioning in the morning, while tactical and technical aspects are covered in the afternoon,” he mentioned.

Fiji is set to face the Solomon Islands on Monday, September 2, at 7 pm at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Following that, the Solomon Islands will compete against Hong Kong-China on Thursday, September 5, also at 7 pm in the same venue. Fiji’s final match in the series will be against Hong Kong-China on Sunday, September 8, at 3 pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka. Ticket prices are set at $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
