Fiji’s Bula Boys: Dominance of Lautoka and Rewa Players!

Lautoka and Rewa players are making a strong presence in the 26-member Digicel Bula Boys squad selected for the upcoming FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series in Fiji next month. Each of these clubs contributes six players to the team.

From Lautoka, defenders Antonio Tuivuna and Sterling Vasconcellos, midfielders Muni Shivam Naidu, Aporosa Yada, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, and striker Sairusi Nalaubu have been chosen. Rewa’s representatives include goalkeeper Isikeli Sevanaia, defenders Ivan Kumar, Patrick Joseph, Samuela Kautoga, and midfielders Tevita Waranaivalu and Setareki Hughes.

Navua has three players in the squad: Filipe Baravilala, Thomas Dunn, and Rahul Krishna, while Ba and Suva each have two players represented. Notably, Merill Nand, the current top scorer of the DFPL and a Suva striker, has been excluded from the final lineup.

Fiji is scheduled to play against the Solomon Islands National team on September 2 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva at 7 PM. They will then face the Hong Kong, China National team on September 8 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The complete squad consists of: Isikeli Sevanaia, Jerome Narayan, Akuila Mateisuva, Samuela Kautoga, Patrick Joseph, Sterling Vasconcellos, Antonio Tuivuna, Mosese Nabose, Filipe Baravilala, Ivan Kumar, Muni Shivam Naidu, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Thomas Dunn, Mohammed Raheem, Setareki Hughes, Aporosa Yasa, Nabil Begg, James Hoyt, Tevita Waranaivalu, Dave Radrigai, Sairusi Nalaubu, Etonia Dogalau, Roy Krishna, Mohammed Aymaan, Rahul Krishna, and Melvin Mani.
