Tickets for the Blue Water Boxing Promotion event this weekend at the Vodafone Arena in Suva are available for purchase on match day, according to promoter Samir Khan. With ticket sales reportedly going well, Khan encourages fans to secure their tickets promptly to avoid disappointment.
For those interested, tickets will also be sold during the weigh-in on Friday at Terry Walk, from 1 PM to 3 PM, and at the competition venue starting at noon on fight day.
This event promises an exciting lineup, featuring three title fights alongside seven other bouts. The main event will see Mohammed Ali go head-to-head with Mikaele Ravalaca for the Lightweight title in the 61 kg category. Other notable matches include Paulo Ratumaikoro defending his Cruiserweight title against Alivereti Kauyaca, and Joseph Kwadjo battling Robin Hazelman in another Cruiserweight contest. Additionally, Semi Dauloloma will face Jonasa Kavika for the Heavyweight Leweni Waqa Title.
This promotion reflects a growing enthusiasm for boxing in Fiji, as evidenced by the previous successful events organized by Khan, which adhered strictly to safety protocols, including medical checks and drug testing for participants. As the local boxing scene continues to flourish, such events are vital in providing a platform for both established and emerging fighters, showcasing their talent to fans at home and potentially on international stages.
As anticipation builds for this weekend’s bouts, boxing enthusiasts can look forward to an evening filled with fierce competition, camaraderie, and the passion that defines the sport. The event not only serves as a highlight for fans but also reinforces the thriving culture of boxing within the Fijian community.
