Bounty Rum, Fiji’s renowned rum brand, has announced its role as the major sponsor of the Bounty Christmas Festival in Suva. This exciting event will blend the festive spirit of Christmas with the vibrant rhythms of reggae music.
Etrina Simpson, the head of marketing at Bounty Rum, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for supporting such initiatives, emphasizing that Christmas is a time for unity. “What better way to celebrate than through music? Darlene Underwood, director of Pacific Coast Events & Promotions, shared her vision for the festival’s growth, aiming to expand it from Suva to other locations such as Nadi. “Reggae has a special place in the hearts of islanders, and we want to make this the Pacific’s go-to festival for reggae music,” Underwood said.
Scheduled for December 21, 2024, the festival will highlight local reggae talents, including Tana Music Fiji, Sweet Sensation, Chapter 5, 9PM Band, Sector 4, PowerBand, and 4 Quarters, with special guest DJ Alby Eastgate.
This initiative not only showcases local talent but also strengthens community bonds, creating a vibrant celebration that locals and visitors can look forward to.
