The Telecommunications Authority of Fiji (TAF) has made a significant advancement with the introduction of its first Five-Year Strategic Plan for 2025-2029 at Tanoa Plaza in Suva. The event, attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communications, Manoa Kamikamica, highlighted the strategic plan’s four key pillars: Regulatory Effectiveness, Service Delivery, Advocacy, and Financial Sustainability.
Supported by strategic enablers that focus on People and Governance, Processes, and Technology, the plan aims to bridge the digital divide, foster innovation, and enhance Fiji’s status as the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) hub of the Pacific region. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this initiative demonstrates TAF’s commitment to strengthening the telecommunications sector in Fiji.
In his remarks, Kamikamica articulated a vision for a digitally connected Fiji, where every citizen has equal access to technology and opportunities. He expressed confidence that TAF would work effectively with key stakeholders to implement the plan seamlessly, underscoring its emphasis on regulatory command, improved service delivery, and community advocacy.
