The Fijian government is reinforcing its dedication to enhancing the quality of life for its citizens through several initiatives focused on poverty alleviation and child protection. Lynda Tabuya, who previously held the position of Minister for Women, Children, and Social Protection, announced the launch of the Costed Operational Plan (COP) for the fiscal year 2024-2025, which aims to improve assistance for women, children, and those facing considerable hardships.
This comprehensive plan is designed to address critical issues such as poverty. It aligns with the National Poverty Alleviation Policy, intended to deliver systematic support to disadvantaged communities.
