Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has launched a vigorous initiative to address allegations of misconduct within Fiji’s law enforcement, particularly targeting the Counter Narcotics Bureau. “We are committed to rooting out individuals within our ranks who break the law,” Rabuka stated, acknowledging the seriousness of the situation but also urging a sensible perspective on crime, reminding that “No country has a zero crime rate.” His comments reflect the ongoing reforms the government is implementing, aimed at conjoining efforts across the community to combat drug issues and restore confidence in law enforcement agencies.
