InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa has been honored as Fiji’s Best MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) Hotel for 2025 at the World MICE Awards, which took place in Bahrain on December 6. This recognition marks the fourth consecutive year the resort has claimed this title, having previously won in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024. The accolade highlights the resort’s significant role in hosting upscale meetings, incentive travel, conferences, and exhibitions within Fiji.
A standout feature of the resort is the Watercourt, a specially designed area for group meetings. This precinct is enhanced by reflection pools and native landscaping, offering meeting rooms, flexible transition areas, and outdoor spaces that foster inspiration and collaboration among participants.
Lachlan Walker, the Regional General Manager for IHG Hotels & Resorts in Fiji and the Pacific, expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing it to the strength and dedication of the team. “We are honored by this recognition and grateful for the trust placed in us by the organizations who choose to gather here,” he stated. He emphasized that each experience is highly influenced by the colleagues who display care, professionalism, and authentic warmth.
Incorporating Fijian cultural elements into its programs, the resort provides delegates with a genuine sense of place through traditional food offerings, welcome ceremonies, and hospitality. Additionally, Fiji’s strategic location and robust air connectivity to countries such as Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Asia enhance its attractiveness as a prime destination for corporate events.
The World MICE Awards celebrate excellence in the global business events industry, with nominations originating from both industry professionals and consumers, followed by a voting process that includes public and specialist input.
InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is part of the IHG Fiji Hotels portfolio, which is owned by the FNPF and remains committed to enhancing cultural experiences, workforce development, and infrastructure that bolster Fiji’s competitiveness in the international meetings market. This continued investment reflects a positive outlook for Fiji’s MICE sector, cementing the island nation’s status as a premier destination for business gatherings.
