Fiji’s beach soccer team secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Papua New Guinea, thanks to a standout performance from France Catarogo, who netted three goals. This match, held in Honiara, allowed Fiji to clinch third place at the OFC Beach Soccer Men’s Nations Cup.

In their earlier encounter, Papua New Guinea triumphed in a thrilling match, winning 8-2 against Fiji in what was Fiji’s first match missing captain Tevita Waranaivalu and key player Madhwan Gounder, who arrived late.

The scoring opened in the 8th minute when Steven Dean, a young talent from Northland Tailevu, found the back of the net. France Catarogo then extended Fiji’s lead just eight minutes later. He went on to score again in the 22nd and 34th minutes, completing his impressive hat trick.
