The Digicel Fiji Baby Bula Boys have one final challenge ahead as they prepare to compete against New Zealand in the OFC under-16 Championship final today. The team secured their place at the FIFA under-17 World Cup in Qatar next year after a 2-1 win against Tahiti.
Head coach Sunil Kumar expressed confidence in his team’s progress, noting significant improvement despite earlier tough matches in the pool stage. “We didn’t receive many positive remarks for the pool match due to our performance, but we believed the boys could excel. I am very proud of their efforts,” Kumar stated.
The Baby Bula Boys are looking to conclude their OFC men’s under-16 championship on a high note. The match is set to kick off at 4 PM today in Tahiti.
