Angeline Rekha, a talented defender for Fiji’s national women’s football team, has officially signed a professional contract with Western Springs, a football club in New Zealand. The 20-year-old, who previously captained the Young Kulas and currently plays for Rewa, is set to join her new team on February 1, 2025.
Rekha is recognized for her defensive skills, including strong tackling, aerial ability, and impressive leadership on the field, establishing herself as one of the best defenders in Fiji. Additionally, former Fiji U20 Captain Adi Litia Bakaniceva and Maria Veronica have also landed professional contracts, joining Papua New Guinea’s top club, Hekari United.
