Fiji’s Academic Star: Ayesha Reddy Shines with Unprecedented Achievements

Ayesha Kirti Reddy, a remarkable 22-year-old graduate from the University of Fiji, has celebrated an exceptional academic milestone, becoming the only student to achieve an A in all her 32 units and receiving an impressive five gold medals. Her dedication culminated in a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in mathematics and physics, alongside a Graduate Diploma in Teaching. Ms. Reddy is currently furthering her education with a Master’s in Science degree.

During her graduation ceremony, which included 282 other graduates, Ayesha received accolades for her outstanding achievements in physics, mathematics, and teaching, as well as the Vice Chancellor’s Academic Excellence award and the School of Humanities and Arts gold medal. Her commitment to her studies, strong time management, and determination were evident in her remarks, where she expressed her aspirations from the very first day of her university journey.

Reflecting on her time at university, Ayesha noted that witnessing peers drop out of the program only strengthened her resolve. “It required a lot of commitment, it required a lot of time management, a lot of dedication towards reading lecture notes and attending all the lectures,” she stated. With a keen ambition to succeed in the educational field, Ayesha has already applied for a teaching position in high school mathematics and physics, while remaining open to any suitable opportunities in the public or private sector.
