Fiji’s 7s Team Faces Tough Challenge at Coral Coast 7s!

The Fiji Airways men’s 7s team, the reigning champions, will face a challenging group as they are set to compete against New Zealand, among others, in the upcoming McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s tournament in Sigatoka next week. The tournament will take place from January 16 to 18 at Lawaqa Park.

In this competition, Fiji’s team, coached by Osea Kolinisau, leads Pool A, which includes formidable opponents such as the Kiwis, Tuva Rugby, and Brothers Club. Notably, the All Blacks 7s, under the guidance of coach Tomasi Cama, have been placed in Pool B alongside Fijian Drua 7s, Seattle Barbarians, and Colo West.

The tournament features a total of four pools, with Pool C consisting of BLK Lavidi, Samoa 7s, Bula Bay 7s, and Ratu Filise, while Pool D includes the Aussie Select 7s, McDonald’s Mike Friday Select 7s, Devo Babas, and Taikita Brothers.

This tournament promises exciting matchups and showcases some of the best talent in rugby sevens, setting the stage for fierce competition and potential surprises throughout the event. Fans can look forward to witnessing skillful performances and passionate displays of sport during the tournament.
