As Fiji gears up for the 2027 Rugby World Cup following the recent announcement of the pool draws, the task of selecting the ideal squad is becoming increasingly challenging. Mick Byrne, head coach of the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, acknowledged the difficulties of the selection process, especially with a new wave of players joining European rugby clubs.
“It’s always tough selections, and there’s another batch of young players coming into France and England as we speak,” Byrne stated in an interview.
