He marked 2025 as a significant year, celebrating Fiji’s 55th anniversary of independence, known as the Emerald Jubilee.

Rabuka reflected on 2024, a year he characterized by resilience, urging citizens to draw from their collective progress while gearing up for future challenges. He expressed appreciation for the dedication of civil servants, first responders, and defense forces throughout the past year. The Prime Minister also recognized the contributions of Fiji’s international missions to enhance the nation’s global reputation.

Furthermore, he prioritized poverty alleviation, outlining the government’s “one village at a time” strategy to uplift livelihoods.

The Coalition Government’s initiatives, which include substantial investments in housing, sanitation, and infrastructure, aim to lay the groundwork for sustainable economic and social advancement.

As the nation approaches its milestone anniversary, the focus on unity and resilience promises to inspire citizens to face challenges with optimism.
