According to former FijiFirst member and current Opposition MP, Mosese Bulitavu, several prominent business figures expressed interest in clearing FijiFirst’s debt of $701,680. Although Bulitavu did not disclose any names, he indicated that these individuals are quite influential in the business world.

Bulitavu expressed concern over the potential for these business figures to seek control over the party. “Sometimes in exchange, they may want a position on the board,” he said. “This used to be a common scenario.”

He confirmed that the idea of involving them was thought out cleanly since they are supporters who genuinely don’t want the party to fall into insolvency.
