Fijiana 7s newcomer Livia Naidei is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to represent Fiji at the HSBC SVNS Series opener in Dubai. The Savusavu halfback, who began her rugby journey in 2009, expressed her gratitude and excitement upon receiving the call-up.
“I’m very happy that I have been chosen to represent Fiji,” Naidei stated. She shared her journey, noting that she started playing rugby in Savusavu before moving to Suva. After gaining experience in the 15s format, she feels fortunate to now be selected for the 7s team.
Naidei acknowledged the challenges she has faced in her sporting career, but credited her family for their unwavering support. “Things have been hard, but I thank my family, sometimes it is them who push me to do my best. I thank them for all their support and will do my best to make them and Fiji proud.”
