The Vodafone Fijiana XVs experienced a significant loss, falling 59-15 to Scotland in their opening test match at the Hive Stadium in Edinburgh early this morning.
Scotland showcased their strength throughout the match, scoring nine tries, while Fiji managed to score three unconverted tries. By halftime, Scotland had built a substantial lead of 28-10, thanks to four converted tries, whereas Fiji had two unconverted tries.
In the second half, Fiji could only manage one additional unconverted try, while Scotland increased their dominance, adding 31 more points to clinch a decisive victory.
Looking ahead, the Fijiana will concentrate on their upcoming test match against the Netherlands next week, followed by their participation in the WXV3 tournament. The match against the Netherlands is scheduled for 5:30 am on Friday.
