The Vodafone Fijiana XVs faced a challenging start to their campaign, losing 59-15 to Scotland in their opening test match at the Hive Stadium in Edinburgh early this morning. Scotland dominated the match, scoring nine tries compared to Fiji’s three unconverted tries.
By halftime, Scotland had established a solid 28-10 lead, having converted four tries while Fiji managed to score two unconverted tries. In the second half, Fiji could only add one more unconverted try, while Scotland continued to dominate, scoring an additional 31 points to secure a decisive victory.
Looking ahead, the Fijiana team is set to prepare for their next test match against the Netherlands, scheduled for 5:30 am on Friday, before participating in the WXV3 tournament.
