The Fijiana XVs team is well-settled in Edinburgh in preparation for their Test match against Scotland, scheduled for Sunday morning (Fiji time) at Hive Stadium. Lock Asinate Serevi shared that the players are adapting and focusing on their upcoming challenge.

“Scotland is definitely cold, but it’s been a fun experience,” Serevi remarked. She noted that the lengthy flight was taxing due to the time difference and weather conditions, but overall, the experience has been enjoyable.

The squad features five debutants: Penina Turova, Mary Kanace, Iva Sauira, Una Lalabalavu, and Loraini Senivutu, with three players joining from overseas and two from local clubs. Head coach Mosese Rauluni emphasized the importance of the international players who have been training in Fiji for several months and are successfully integrating with the local talent.

Several players who debuted in last month’s tests against Japan are also part of the current squad, including Salanieta Nabuli, Tiana Robanakadavu, Unaisi Lalabalavu, Salanieta Kinita, Merewairita Neivosa, and Atelaite Buna.

The Fijiana XV is set to further expand their horizons with a historic match against the Netherlands’ Orange Ladies. This eagerly awaited game will occur on Thursday, September 19, at NRCA Stadium in Amsterdam. The upcoming WXV 3 tournament will see teams including the Fijiana XV, Colombia, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Spain, and Kenya, with Fiji’s opening match against Colombia scheduled for October 13.
