Vodafone Fijiana XV captain Karalaini Naisewa is determined to achieve a strong performance against Scotland and the Netherlands ahead of the World XV 3 tournament in Dubai.

The Fijiana squad will kick off their series of Test matches against Scotland on September 15, followed by a game against the Netherlands on September 19, with their final destination being Dubai for the WXV 3 starting September 27.

Naisewa shared her excitement regarding the team’s preparations, stating that the last eight weeks of training have been both intense and fruitful. She remarked, “The girls have been training well; it has been an exciting eight weeks, and we are ready to face a tier one nation and head to Dubai for the World XV.”

She emphasized that the team is eager and prepared, highlighting the high-intensity training sessions leading up to the matches against Scotland and the Netherlands. Naisewa also acknowledged the challenge presented by Scotland, currently ranked in the top six globally, but she expressed confidence in her team’s abilities stating, “They will be strong, and it will be a tough game, but we are ready for the challenge.”

In addition, Naisewa noted the addition of four new players to the squad, including former Fiji Pearls netball player Alisi Galo, who is poised to make her debut, alongside Salaseini Railumu, Alfreda Fisher, and Ivamere Nabura.

She urged fans in Scotland and the Netherlands to show their support by attending the matches. The Fijiana XV team left the country yesterday and is focused on gaining momentum during these test matches as they gear up for the WXV 3 tournament later this month.
