Vodafone Fijiana XV captain Karalaini Naisewa is determined to deliver strong performances against Scotland and the Netherlands prior to their departure for the World XV 3 tournament in Dubai.

The Fijiana team is set to play their opening Test against Scotland on September 15, followed by a match against the Netherlands on September 19, before heading to Dubai for the WXV 3 on September 27.

Naisewa expressed her enthusiasm for the team’s preparations, emphasizing that the past eight weeks of training have been both intense and fruitful. She stated, “The girls have been training well; it’s been an exciting eight weeks of training, and we are prepared to take on tier one nations as we head to Dubai for the World XV.”

She noted the excitement within the team, mentioning their high-intensity training sessions leading up to the matches against Scotland and the Netherlands.

Regarding the upcoming match against Scotland, Naisewa acknowledged the formidable challenge but remained optimistic. “Scotland is among the top six in the world. They will be tough opponents, but we are ready for the challenge,” she said.

Naisewa also mentioned the addition of four new players to the squad, including former Fiji Pearls netball player Alisi Galo, who is set to make her debut, along with Salaseini Railumu, Alfreda Fisher, and Ivamere Nabura.

She called on fans in Scotland and the Netherlands to come out in support of the team. The Fijiana XV side departed for their matches yesterday and aims to build momentum in these tests as they prepare for the WXV 3 tournament in Dubai later this month.
