Vodafone Fijiana XV captain, Karalaini Naisewa, is eager for a strong performance in their upcoming matches against Scotland and the Netherlands before heading to Dubai for the World XV 3 tournament.
The Fijiana will face Scotland on September 15, followed by a match against the Netherlands on September 19, and will travel to Dubai for the WXV 3 starting September 27. Naisewa shared her enthusiasm for the team’s preparation, noting that the intense training over the past eight weeks has proven productive.
“The girls have trained well, and it’s been an exciting eight weeks. We are ready to take on a tier-one nation and head to Dubai for World XV,” Naisewa stated. She also mentioned the team’s eagerness, highlighting the high intensity of their training sessions as they gear up for the matches against Scotland and the Netherlands.
Regarding the challenge posed by Scotland, currently ranked among the top six teams in the world, Naisewa acknowledged the difficulties ahead but expressed confidence in her team’s abilities. “Scotland will be tough, but we are ready for the challenge,” she declared.
Additionally, Naisewa introduced four new players to the squad, including former Fiji Pearls netball player Alisi Galo, who is set to make her debut alongside Salaseini Railumu, Alfreda Fisher, and Ivamere Nabura.
She called on fans in Scotland and the Netherlands to come out and support the Fijiana XV team. The squad departed the country yesterday and is focused on gaining momentum from these test matches in preparation for the WXV 3 tournament in Dubai later this month.
