Fijiana XV Sets Sights on Scotland and Netherlands Showdown!

Karalaini Naisewa, the captain of Vodafone Fijiana XV, is determined to deliver strong performances against Scotland and the Netherlands as they prepare for the World XV 3 tournament in Dubai. The Fijiana team is set to face Scotland on September 15, followed by a match against the Netherlands on September 19, before heading to Dubai for the WXV 3 on September 27.

Naisewa expressed her enthusiasm about the team’s training, sharing that the last eight weeks have been both intense and productive. “The girls have been training well and it’s been an exciting eight weeks of training, and we are ready to face a tier one nation and head to Dubai for World XV,” she noted.

She emphasized the team’s readiness and excitement, indicating that they have been engaging in high-intensity training and look forward to the upcoming matches. As for the challenge of facing Scotland, ranked among the top six in the world, she acknowledged it will be a tough game but remained confident in her team’s ability to rise to the occasion.

Additionally, Naisewa mentioned the inclusion of four new players in the squad, including Alisi Galo, a former Fijian netball player, who is making her debut. Galo will join Salaseini Railumu, Alfreda Fisher, and Ivamere Nabura in the lineup.

Naisewa called on fans in Scotland and the Netherlands to show their support by attending the matches. The Fijiana XV team departed the country yesterday and aims to gain momentum in these test matches leading up to the WXV 3 tournament in Dubai later this month.
