Vodafone Fijiana XV captain Karalaini Naisewa is focused on delivering strong performances against Scotland and the Netherlands ahead of the World XV 3 tournament in Dubai. The team is set to face Scotland on September 15 and the Netherlands on September 19, before departing for Dubai on September 27.
Naisewa shared her enthusiasm about the team’s recent preparations, emphasizing that the last eight weeks have been both intense and fruitful. “The girls have been training well and it’s been an exciting eight weeks of training, and we are ready to face tier one nations and head to Dubai for World XV,” she remarked.
She conveyed the team’s eagerness for the matches, stating, “The girls are excited and ready, and we have been having high-intensity training and can’t wait to face Scotland and the Netherlands.”
Addressing the upcoming challenge against Scotland, Naisewa acknowledged their status as a top six team globally. “Scotland is one of the top six in the world. They will be strong and will be a hard game, but we are up for the challenge,” she said.
The captain also noted the addition of four new players to the squad, including Alisi Galo, a former Fiji Pearls netball player making her debut, along with Salaseini Railumu, Alfreda Fisher, and Ivamere Nabura.
Naisewa reached out to fans, encouraging support for the team in both Scotland and the Netherlands.
