Fijiana XV Gears Up for Tough Battle Against Wallaroos in Sydney

The Vodafone Fijiana XV side is gearing up for their match against the Wallaroos at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday.

Head coach Mosese Rauluni mentioned that his team needs to perform well against the fifth-ranked team in women’s rugby.

“The players have been training effectively and have shown significant improvement since the game against Japan, but the real test will come when we face the Wallaroos on Saturday,” he stated.

“The Wallaroos have lost all their test matches so far, but they are still a formidable team.”

Rauluni acknowledged that it will be a challenging game against the Wallaroos on their home ground.

“We are playing away in different conditions, and it’s going to be much colder than the last time we were in Australia,” he explained.

“We cannot take the Wallaroos lightly; we need to be at our best.”

Rauluni emphasized the importance of utilizing their backline with quick ball delivery.

“We need to defend well against the Wallaroos’ various shapes and formations in attack,” he said.

He expressed hope for strong support from the Fijian community in Sydney.

“It was beneficial to have our contact session here in Fiji before heading to Sydney,” he said.

“We will focus on getting the basics right and preparing thoroughly for Saturday.”

The match kicks off at 6.45pm.
