Fijiana XV Gears Up for Tough Battle Against Wallaroos in Sydney

The Vodafone Fijiana XV team is set for their upcoming match against the Wallaroos at Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday.

Head coach Mosese Rauluni emphasized the importance of being in top form against the fifth-ranked team in women’s rugby.

“The players have been training well and have made significant improvements since the Japan game, but the real test will come against the Wallaroos on Saturday,” Rauluni said.

Despite the Wallaroos having lost all their test matches so far, Rauluni expects them to be strong opponents.

Facing the Wallaroos on their home ground will be a tough challenge, according to Rauluni.

“We are playing away, in different conditions; it’s going to be a lot colder compared to the last time we were in Australia,” he stated. “We can’t take them lightly; we have to be at our best.”

Rauluni plans to leverage his team’s backline with quick ball delivery.

“We need to defend well against the various shapes and formations of the Wallaroos’ attack,” he added.

Rauluni is hopeful for strong support from the Fijian community in Sydney.

“It was beneficial to have our contact session here in Fiji before heading to Sydney,” he continued. “We’ll focus on doing the basics right and prepare well for Saturday.”

The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:45 pm.
