“Fijiana XV Gears Up for Showdown Against Wallaroos”

The Vodafone Fijiana XV is gearing up for their match against the Wallaroos at Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday. Head coach Mosese Rauluni emphasized the importance of being in top form against the fifth-ranked team in women’s rugby.

“The players have been training well and have shown significant improvement since the game against Japan. However, the real test will come when we face the Wallaroos on Saturday,” Rauluni stated.

Despite the Wallaroos’ recent losses in their test matches, Rauluni expects a challenging game. “Playing away in different conditions, especially in the cooler climate compared to our last visit to Australia, will be tough. We must not underestimate them and need to be at our best,” he added.

Rauluni aims to capitalize on the team’s backline with fast ball delivery and stressed the importance of solid defense against the Wallaroos’ varied attack formations. He is also hopeful for strong support from the Fijian community in Sydney.

“It was beneficial to have our contact sessions in Fiji before heading to Sydney. We will focus on getting the basics right and prepare well for Saturday,” he said.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 6.45pm.
