Fijiana XV Gears Up for Showdown Against Wallaroos

The Vodafone Fijiana XV side is gearing up for their clash against the Wallaroos at Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday.

Head coach Mosese Rauluni emphasized the importance of peak performance against the fifth-ranked team in women’s rugby.

“The players have been training well and they’ve improved a lot since the Japan game, but time will tell when we go against the Wallaroos on Saturday,” he said. “The Wallaroos have lost all their test matches so far but they’re still going to be strong.”

Rauluni acknowledged the challenge of playing against the Wallaroos on their home turf.

“We are playing away, in different conditions, so it’s going to be a lot colder compared to the last time when we were in Australia,” he said. “We can’t take the Wallaroos lightly as we have to be on song.”

He stressed the importance of quick ball delivery and effective use of their backline.

“We have to defend well against the Wallaroos’ different shapes and formations in attack,” Rauluni said.

Rauluni is hopeful for strong support from the Fijian community in Sydney.

“It was great to get our contact session here in Fiji and now head to Sydney,” he said. “We’ll just do the basics right and prepare well for Saturday.”

The match kicks off at 6.45pm.
