Fijiana XV Gears Up for Intense Showdown vs. Wallaroos

The Vodafone Fijiana XV side is set and ready for their match against the Wallaroos at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday.

Head coach Mosese Rauluni emphasized the importance of being in top form against the Wallaroos, who are ranked fifth in women’s rugby.

“The players have been training well and have shown significant improvement since the Japan game, but the real test will be on Saturday against the Wallaroos,” he said.

“Although the Wallaroos have lost all their test matches so far, they are still a formidable team.”

Rauluni acknowledged the challenge of playing the Wallaroos on their home ground.

“We are playing away in different conditions, and it’s going to be much colder compared to our last visit to Australia,” he said.

“We cannot underestimate the Wallaroos; we need to be at our best.”

Rauluni mentioned that they aim to capitalize on their backline with fast ball delivery.

“We need to defend well against the Wallaroos’ varied shapes and formations in attack,” he said.

Rauluni is hopeful for strong support from the Fijian community in Sydney during their match against the Wallaroos.

“It was beneficial to have our contact session here in Fiji before heading to Sydney,” he said.

“We will focus on doing the basics right and preparing thoroughly for Saturday.”

The match is scheduled to kick off at 6.45pm.
