Fijiana XV Gears Up for Clash Against Wallaroos in Sydney

The Vodafone Fijiana XV team is gearing up for their match against the Wallaroos at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday.

Head coach Mosese Rauluni emphasized the importance of his team being in top form to face the fifth-ranked team in women’s rugby.

“The players have been training well and have shown significant improvement since the Japan game,” Rauluni noted. “However, the real test will come when we face the Wallaroos on Saturday. Although they have lost all their test matches so far, they remain a formidable opponent.”

Rauluni highlighted the challenges of playing the Wallaroos on their home ground, noting the different conditions and colder weather compared to their last visit to Australia. “We can’t underestimate the Wallaroos; we need to be at our best,” he stressed.

The coach also mentioned plans to leverage their backline with quick ball delivery and emphasized the necessity of strong defense against the Wallaroos’ varied attack formations.

Rauluni expressed hope for strong support from the Fijian community in Sydney. “It was beneficial to have our contact sessions in Fiji before heading to Sydney. Our focus now is to get the basics right and prepare well for Saturday,” he said.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 6.45pm.
