The Fijiana Drua are set to host two matches in Lautoka during the upcoming Super Rugby W season. They will welcome the Queensland Reds and the Brumbies to Churchill Park for rounds two and three of the competition.
The highly anticipated match against the Reds will take place on Saturday, March 8, coinciding with a home game for their male counterparts, the Fijian Drua, who will face the Chiefs that same day. The following week, on March 15, the Drua will go head-to-head with the Brumbies.
Before their home games, the Drua will kick off their season against the Waratahs at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on Friday, February 28. They will conclude the round-robin phase with a match against the Western Force on Sunday, March 23, at HBF Park in Perth.
This season presents a great opportunity for the Fijiana Drua to showcase their talent and build a strong fanbase at home, especially with the excitement surrounding the double-header event against the Reds. As they prepare for the challenges ahead, there is hope that their performances will inspire a greater appreciation for women’s rugby in Fiji and beyond.
