The Fijiana 7s team is currently ranked 11th in the HSBC SVNS Series standings following the first leg of the tournament. Leading the standings is New Zealand with 36 points, thanks to a silver medal in Dubai and a gold in Cape Town. Australia follows closely in second with 34 points, while France holds third place with 32 points from two bronze medals.
