Fijiana 7s newcomer Livia Naidei is filled with anticipation as she prepares to represent Fiji at the HSBC SVNS Series opener in Dubai. The talented halfback from Savusavu, who embarked on her rugby journey in 2009, expressed her gratitude and excitement upon receiving the call-up.
“I am very happy that I have been chosen to represent Fiji,” Naidei shared. She noted her rugby journey started in Savusavu before she moved to Suva, and after gaining experience in 15s rugby, she feels fortunate to now compete in 7s.
Despite facing challenges in her athletic career, Naidei draws strength and motivation from her family, acknowledging their crucial role in her journey. “Things have been hard, but I thank my family; sometimes it is them who push me to do my best. I appreciate their support and will strive to make them and Fiji proud.”
