Fijiana 7s Interim Coach Timoci Volavola is preparing his squad, which includes nine new players, for their international debut at the HSBC SVNS Series opener in Dubai. Volavola emphasizes the importance of exposure for his young team as they transition onto the world stage.

“Exposure is the key integrator into the world stage,” Volavola explained, highlighting his goal of helping players elevate their performance levels during the series. Rather than placing high expectations on the debutants—Mere Vocevoce, Sera Bolatini, Silika Qalo, Ruth Raketekete, Varanisese Qoro, Vika Nakacia, Milika Drugunavanua, and Livia Naidei—he encourages them to enjoy their experience and showcase their talents.

“I just want them to play out the talent that has been given to them and display it on the world stage,” he stated.

Fijiana 7s will kick off their campaign against Ireland tomorrow at 5:44 PM.

This opportunity not only allows these new players to gain valuable competitive experience but also fosters a nurturing environment to develop their skills for future tournaments. It’s an exciting time for both the players and the Fijiana 7s team as they embark on this journey of growth and team cohesion.
