The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team has secured their spot in the 5th Place Final at the Singapore Sevens after a decisive 36-12 victory against Great Britain in the semifinal.

The match was closely contested in the first half, with both teams locked at 12-12 at halftime. However, Fiji elevated their game in the second half, dominating possession and showcasing their clinical finishing to distance themselves from their British counterparts at the Singapore National Stadium.

Notably, Reapi Ulunisau excelled during the match, scoring a remarkable hat-trick with tries in the 2nd, 4th, and 11th minutes, establishing an early lead for Fiji. Kolora Lomani contributed another try just before the break, keeping Fiji competitive after Great Britain responded with tries from Evelyn Clarke and Georgie Lingham.

In the second half, Fiji’s control at the breakdown and their fast-paced ball movement proved to be crucial. Alfreda Fisher added to the score, while Ulunisau and Ana Maria Naimasi converted additional points, sealing the impressive win.

Additionally, the Fiji men’s team is set to compete against New Zealand in the cup semifinal later tonight, with fans able to catch the action live on FBC TV. This ongoing tournament showcases the strength and determination of Fiji’s rugby teams and promises thrilling competitions ahead.
