The SportsWorld Fijian Under-20 rugby team has finalized a dynamic matchday squad to face Tonga in their opening game of the Oceania Under-20 Challenge Tournament, scheduled for tomorrow at 4 PM at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. Head Coach Senirusi Seruvakula has named Iliesa Erenavula as captain, emphasizing the importance of a strong start to defend their title.

The squad combines a robust mix of talent, featuring players from both local schools and overseas. The front row consists of Anare Caginavanua, Moses Armstrong Ravula, and Neville Amputch, while Erenavula teams up with Ratu Apensia Naevo in the second row. The loose forwards, including Noah Rauluni, Isoa Koroinawai, and Thomas Setitaia—who previously excelled with the Moana Pasifika U20s—bring a strong physical presence.

In the backline, quick halfback Adam Khan and fly-half Asi Tuilagi will lead the offensive strategies, supported by a dynamic midfield pairing of Judah Driver and Bogidrau Kikau. The fast and elusive back three will include Pita Manamanaivalu, Emosi Nuku, and fullback Josaias Ralulu.

The bench players, including Vaimoe Koroi, Marika Koroi, and exciting backs such as Saimoni Vaisova and Iliesa Baravilala, provide ample depth and firepower for the squad. The match will be available for live viewing on FBC Sports.

This event is not just about today’s game; it represents a significant step in the development of Fijian rugby. Many of the young athletes participating are seen as future stars, contributing to the ongoing growth of the sport in Fiji. The coaching staff and players are working diligently to blend local talent with international experience, aiming to create a sustainable legacy of success in Fijian rugby.

Anticipation is high as the team prepares to hit the field, inspired by the hope and commitment they embody for their nation’s rugby future. The blend of youthful energy and experienced oversight reflects a promising outlook as they embark on this exciting journey.
