Fijian rugby player Luke Tagi has extended his contract with Aviron Bayonnais until 2028, the club has announced. After joining the team in the previous season, Tagi has become an integral part of the squad.
Having started his professional journey in Paris with Stade Francais in 2019, Tagi made 18 appearances over two seasons. He then moved to Aix-en-Provence in the ProD2 league, where he had a remarkable two-year stint, contributing significantly with 45 league matches and scoring eight tries. His stellar performances led to a return to the prestigious Top 14 with Bayonne.
Tagi gained international recognition for his standout performances with the Flying Fijians during the 2023 Rugby World Cup, solidifying his reputation as a world-class player.
