Ben Volavola has officially joined the Leicester Tigers men’s squad for the upcoming 2024/25 season. The former Fijian international, who can play several positions in the backs, brings significant experience to the team, having played over 200 professional rugby matches, including 38 Test caps and participated in two Rugby World Cups.
Volavola spent the last seven seasons in France, playing for Racing 92, Perpignan, and most recently, Agen. Upon joining Leicester Tigers, he expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am honoured and excited to join this club and this talented group.” He added, “I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity and after speaking to (Michael), I jumped at the chance to come to Leicester and I’m excited to see what we can do this season,” as reported by Leicester Tigers media.
