Fijian Drua utility back Tuidraki Samusamuvodre is optimistic about the upcoming 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season. After undergoing rehabilitation for an ankle injury sustained during the opening match of last season against the Blues—who went on to become the champions—Samusamuvodre is eager to return to the field.
Although sidelined through much of the previous competition, he took part in matches for Nadi in both the Skipper Cup and the Inkk Mobile Farebrother Challenge upon completing his recovery. Reflecting on his injury, Samusamuvodre expressed disappointment, sharing that he felt pressure to perform, particularly in the No.12 position, a role he has filled successfully in the past.
Coming from Namotomoto, Nadi, Samusamuvodre is versatile, capable of playing on the wing and in the center, although he is primarily a specialist No.10. Despite the option for surgery, he chose to focus solely on rehabilitation and a gradual return to form.
