Fiji’s Rum Co. of Fiji has achieved remarkable recognition at three of the world’s leading spirits competitions, securing a total of 25 medals for its locally crafted rums. The accolades reflect the rising prestige of Fijian spirits on the global stage, as highlighted in the company’s announcement.

Mike Spencer, general manager of Paradise Fiji, the parent company of Rum Co. of Fiji, emphasized that this victory is a celebration of Fijian craftsmanship: “These wins are for Fiji. They demonstrate that Fiji-crafted rums can compete – and win – internationally.”

The rums were showcased at the 2025 International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) in London, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), and Germany’s ISW Meininger’s International Spirits Awards. Notable achievements include:

– At the IWSC, Gold medals were awarded to RATU 5 Year Old Spiced Rum, with several others securing Silver and Bronze.
– The SFWSC recognized BATI Coconut Rum and BATI Banana Rum among the Gold winners, with numerous Silver and Bronze medals across different variants.
– At the ISW Awards, five Gold medals were given for various BATI and RATU rums.

These achievements mark a significant milestone for Fijian rum, illustrating the commitment to quality and artisan methods by Rum Co. of Fiji. Spencer noted that such international recognition is a testament to the incredible potential of Fijians to produce world-class spirits, harnessing local ingredients and traditional techniques.
