Fijian Rugby Teams Unite: A Inspiring Message from the President

The Flying Fijians and Fijiana XV recently presented their traditional itatau to President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at the State House as they gear up for the forthcoming Pacific Nations Cup and other international matches.

President Katonivere extended a warm welcome to the teams and expressed his appreciation for the pride they have instilled in the nation. He recognized their dedication and achievements, noting their role as inspirations for young Fijians aiming to pursue rugby.

“We would like to thank you for your unwavering commitment to uplifting the image of rugby both locally and internationally,” President Katonivere stated. “Due to your exceptional performances, you have become role models for our younger generations, encouraging them to strive for success in rugby.”

The President also expressed gratitude towards the Fiji Rugby Union, coaches, and support staff for their contributions in developing the players and preparing them for the international arena.

The Fiji Water Flying Fijians are scheduled to face Samoa this Friday at 6 pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, while the Vodafone Fijiana XV is fine-tuning their preparations for a series of international matches, including the WXV 3 tournament in Dubai next month.
