Fijian Rugby Teams Gear Up for International Glory!

The Flying Fijians and Fijiana XV recently presented their itatau to President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at the State House as they gear up for the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup and other international matches.

President Katonivere warmly welcomed the teams and expressed his appreciation, noting the pride they bring to the nation. He recognized their hard work and achievements, stating that they have become role models for young Fijians who aspire to become rugby players.

“Thank you for your unwavering commitment to enhancing the image of rugby both locally and internationally,” said President Katonivere. “Your outstanding performances have inspired our younger generations to strive for success in rugby careers.”

The President also acknowledged the Fiji Rugby Union, coaches, and support staff for their roles in developing the players and preparing them for the international arena.

The Fiji Water Flying Fijians are scheduled to face Samoa this Friday at 6 pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, while the Vodafone Fijiana XV is in the process of preparing for a series of international matches, including the WXV 3 tournament in Dubai next month.
