Explosive winger Taniela Rakuro has secured his position with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, extending his contract through to the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season. Hailing from Vusama in Nadroga, Rakuro, fondly known as Motopai for his remarkable speed, has quickly become a favorite among fans, showcasing his talent by scoring nine tries in just 23 matches.
During the offseason, Rakuro impressed while playing for the Yarrow’s Taranaki Bulls in the 2025 Bunnings Warehouse NPC, where he made a significant impact by scoring five tries in a commanding 97-0 preseason victory over Thames Valley. His ability to shine at the provincial level indicates his growth and potential within the sport.
