Fijian Rugby Sevens Stars Make Big Moves overseas

Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens rover Kaminieli Rasaku will be joining a French ProD2 club after the Paris Olympic Games. The Grenoble club has officially announced that Rasaku is among their new signings for the next season.

In other player movements, veteran Flying Fijian duo Jale Vatubua and Aminiasi Tuimaba are leaving French Top 14 club Pau. Vatubua is set to join ProD2 club Dax, while Tuimaba will be joining Beziers.

French Top 14 club Oyonnax has signed Peniame Narisia from Racing 92, Veresa Ramototabua of Mont-de-Marsan, and Eddie Sawailau from Perpignan.

Former Fiji-born New Zealand sevens rugby winger Joe Ravouvou has departed from Oyonnax to join ProD2 club Bourgoin.

Montpellier has released utility player Masivesi Dakuwaqa, who will be moving to ProD2 club Biarritz, while former Aurillac centre Christa Powell has also joined the club.

Castres winger Filipo Nakosi, known for his strong running, has left to join ProD2 club Vannes.
