Fijian Rugby Players Making Moves in France

Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens rover Kaminieli Rasaku is set to join a French ProD2 club after the Paris Olympic Games. The Grenoble club has confirmed Rasaku as one of their new signings for the upcoming season.

Veteran Flying Fijian players Jale Vatubua and Aminiasi Tuimaba are making moves as well. Vatubua has joined ProD2 club Dax, while Tuimaba has signed with Beziers, leaving their positions at French Top 14 club Pau.

French Top 14 club Oyonnax has brought in Peniame Narisia from Racing 92, Veresa Ramototabua from Mont-de-Marsan, and Eddie Sawailau from Perpignan.

Former Fiji-born New Zealand sevens rugby winger Joe Ravouvou has departed Oyonnax to join ProD2 club Bourgoin.

Montpellier has released utility player Masivesi Dakuwaqa, who has now joined ProD2 club Biarritz. Additionally, former Aurillac centre Christa Powell has signed with the club.

Filipo Nakosi, a strong-running winger for Castres, has moved to join ProD2 club Vannes.
