A significant milestone was celebrated by Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) as it marked its 40th anniversary with a special event held at the RB Convention Centre in Lami. This momentous occasion honored the company’s history, its esteemed shareholders, and the visionary founders who played a crucial role in establishing FHL. The event took place following the Group’s Annual General Meeting for 2024.

Group CEO Jaoji Koroi emphasized this celebration as a moment for shareholders to reflect on the company’s four decades and to appreciate the contributions of key figures like the Great Council of Chiefs, the late Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, and former managing director Laisenia Qarase.

During the event, Mr. Koroi shared noteworthy financial achievements for the 2024 fiscal year, noting that total assets now exceed $700 million, with net assets valued at $323 million and profits reaching an impressive $70 million. Moreover, FHL has distributed over $130 million in dividends to shareholders throughout its history.

Mr. Koroi also recognized the importance of expanding the company’s focus beyond its shareholder base, aiming to empower iTaukei resource owners through new strategies, promoting inclusivity and broader participation in the corporate sector.

This anniversary serves as an optimistic marker of FHL’s dedication to both its investors and the broader community, signaling a commitment to future growth and collaboration.

In summary, Fijian Holdings Limited’s 40th anniversary not only highlights its successful history and financial achievements but also sets a hopeful trajectory for greater community involvement and empowerment of local resource owners.
