Fijian Holdings Celebrates 40 Years of Growth and Achievement

A prominent investment firm in Fiji, Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL), recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special event at the RB Convention Centre in Lami. This milestone event also followed the Group’s Annual General Meeting for 2024, allowing shareholders and attendees to reflect on the company’s remarkable history and contributions.

During the celebration, Group CEO Jaoji Koroi emphasized the significance of recognizing those who have contributed to FHL’s development, including the Great Council of Chiefs, the late Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, and the former managing director, the late Laisenia Qarase. He expressed gratitude towards the organization’s founders and acknowledged the foresight that led to the establishment of FHL as an institution aimed at increasing iTaukei participation in the business sector.

Koroi shared some impressive statistics from the 2024 financial year, noting that FHL’s total assets now exceed $700 million, with net assets valued at $323 million and a record profit of $70 million. To date, over $130 million has been distributed to shareholders in dividends, highlighting the financial growth and success of the company.

Looking ahead, Mr. Koroi encouraged a broader vision for FHL, stressing the importance of not only benefiting existing shareholders but also empowering iTaukei resource owners through strategic initiatives. This forward-thinking approach aims to enhance inclusivity and further boost community participation in the corporate realm.
