A significant milestone was marked by Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) as it celebrated its 40th anniversary with a memorable event at the RB Convention Centre in Lami. The occasion honored not only the institution’s rich history but also its dedicated shareholders and the pioneering figures who contributed to FHL’s vision, which aims to enhance the involvement of iTaukei individuals in the corporate arena.

The celebration followed the Group’s Annual General Meeting for the year 2024. During the event, group CEO Jaoji Koroi encouraged attendees to reflect on the past four decades while recognizing the contributions made by key figures such as the Great Council of Chiefs, the late Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, and former managing director the late Laisenia Qarase.

Mr. Koroi shared some impressive financial highlights for the 2024 fiscal year, noting that the company’s total assets have surpassed $700 million, with net assets evaluated at $323 million and a record profit of $70 million attained. Additionally, FHL has distributed over $130 million in dividends to its shareholders. He emphasized the significant benefits for long-term shareholders and underscored a commitment to extend efforts toward empowering iTaukei resource owners through newly introduced strategies.
